Description

The JDX and 1DX have the same appearance, features, functions, applications, and technical specifications. However, they differ in internal structure and thus operating principle: the 1DX contains a core intelligent chip dedicated to short-circuit detection, while the JDX is equipped with a 2-in-1 intelligent detection chip for both short-circuit and earth fault detection.

Working Principle

The short-circuit fault detection principle in the 2-in-1 JDX is identical to that of the 1DX.

Earth Fault Detection Principle:

The sensor samples the first half-cycle of the capacitive current and the first half-cycle of the voltage at the moment of the fault, and compares their phase angles. If the sampled current exceeds a preset threshold, is in phase with the first half-cycle of the voltage, and the line-to-ground voltage decreases simultaneously, an earth fault is detected; otherwise, no fault is indicated.

Fault Indication Logic for Earth Faults: If indicators No. 3, 6, and 9 on Phase C of Line 2 flip to red, while indicator No. 12 remains white, an earth fault can be identified at the outlet point.
