Overview

HD & HS series single-throw and double-throw protected knife switches significantly improve personal safety protection to prevent accidental electric shock. These products are mainly installed in low-voltage power distribution equipment for infrequent manual circuit make/break and power isolation applications.

Normal Operating Conditions

● Ambient air temperature: ≤ +40℃ and ≥ −35℃.

● Maximum installation altitude: 5000 m above sea level.

● Humidity: Relative humidity shall not exceed 50% at +40℃; higher relative humidity is permitted at lower ambient temperature (up to 90% at 20℃). Special protection shall be taken against occasional condensation caused by temperature fluctuation.

● Ambient pollution degree: Class 3.

● The switch shall be installed in locations free from severe shaking, shock, vibration, rain or snow ingress. The installation site shall contain no explosive hazardous medium, as well as no gases or dust that may corrode metal or damage insulation.
