Overview

The HR6 series fuse-type disconnecting switches (hereinafter referred to as "the switches") are primarily used in distribution circuits and motor circuits with rated AC voltages of 400V and 1000V (45~62Hz), with a conventional thermal current up to 800A and high short-circuit currents. They serve as power switches, isolating switches, emergency switches, and for circuit protection, but are generally not used for direct switching of individual motors.

Normal Operating Conditions

● Ambient air temperature: Maximum +40°C, minimum -35°C.

● Altitude of installation site: Not exceeding 5000 m.

● Humidity: At the maximum temperature of +40°C, the relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 50%. Higher relative humidity is permitted at lower temperatures, e.g., 90% at 20°C. Special measures shall be taken against condensation occasionally caused by temperature changes.

● Pollution degree of the surrounding environment: Level 3.

● The switch shall be installed in places without significant sway, shock, vibration, rain or snow. The installation site shall be free of explosive hazardous media, and there shall be no gas or dust in the media that can corrode metals and damage insulation.

Structural Features

The switch consists of a base, cover, and arc chute, all made of arc-resistant plastic, forming an all-plastic construction. The static contacts are mounted directly on the base. The arc chute is easy to disassemble and consists of two parts: an inner chamber and an outer chamber. Multiple metal arc chutes are used to enhance arc extinguishing capacity and extend contact life.

NT-type fuse links are installed inside the cover. The cover can rotate in a fan shape around the support, providing a large electrical isolation distance to meet the requirements of a disconnector. The cover can be easily removed from the base, facilitating installation and replacement of fuse links. The base has two sets of mounting holes to meet installation requirements inside various switch cabinets and on panels. Auxiliary contacts can be installed on both sides of the switch as needed to provide signals indicating the open/closed status of the switch.
