Overview

The HR5 series fuse-type disconnectors (hereinafter referred to as "the switches") are primarily used in distribution circuits and motor circuits with rated AC voltages of 400V and 1000V (45~62Hz), and a conventional thermal current up to 630A, where high short-circuit currents are present. They serve as power switches, isolating switches, emergency switches, and provide circuit protection. However, they are generally not intended for direct switching of individual motors.

Model Designation and Meaning

Normal Operating Conditions

● The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40℃ and shall not be lower than -35℃.

● The altitude of the installation site shall not exceed 5000 m.

● Humidity: The relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 50% at a maximum temperature of +40°C. Higher relative humidity is permitted at lower temperatures, for example, 90% at 20°C. Special measures shall be taken against condensation occasionally caused by temperature changes.

● The pollution degree of the surrounding environment is Level 3.

● The switch shall be installed in a place without significant sway, shock, vibration, or rain/snow intrusion. The installation site shall be free of explosive hazardous media, and there shall be no gas or dust in the media that can corrode metals and damage insulation.

Main Parameters and Technical Performance

Rated insulation voltage: 1000V.

Rated operational voltage: 400V and 1000V.

Rated operational current:

At 400V: 100A, 200A, 400A, 630A (4 types).

At 660V: 100A, 200A, 315A, 425A (4 types).

The making and breaking capacity of the switch and the rated breaking short-circuit current are shown in Table 1.

Mechanical endurance: 3000 operations (for 100A, 200A models) and 1000 operations (for 400A, 800A models).

Electrical endurance: 600 operations (for 100A, 200A models) and 200 operations (for 400A, 800A models). Making and breaking conditions are specified in Table 2.

Auxiliary switch (LX19K): Rated operational voltage AC 400V, conventional thermal current 5A, rated control capacity 300VA.

Note: When the switch is used in motor circuits, it is permitted to use fuse links with a rated current higher than the conventional thermal current of the switch.
