Overview

The HGL series load isolating switches adopt modular basic design with 18 frame sizes ranging from 63A to 4000A, available in 3-pole and 4-pole configurations (3 main poles plus a switchable neutral pole). They are intended for circuit making/breaking or electrical isolation; units rated above 1000A are used for electrical isolation only.

Rated for 50Hz AC up to 1000V, DC up to 440V and rated current up to 4000A, they are applied for circuits with infrequent switching operations.

A status indicator window on the front face displays the contact open/closed position.

An optional rear inspection window can be supplied for direct visual check of contact status; refer to HGL‑125~4000A/H rear‑operated load isolating switch for window configuration details.

This product complies with Chinese national standard GB/T 14048.3‑2008 Low‑voltage switchgear and controlgear – Low‑voltage switches, disconnectors, switch‑disconnectors and fuse‑combination units.

Service Environmental Conditions

HGL series load isolating switches operate reliably under the following ambient conditions:

● Altitude not exceeding 5000 m;

● Ambient temperature: ≤40℃ and ≥−35℃;

● Relative humidity ≤95%;

● No explosive hazardous atmosphere;

● Protected against rain and snow ingress.

Note: If the switch is to be used at ambient temperatures above +40℃ or ranging from −5℃ to −45℃, the purchaser shall inform the manufacturer in advance.
