Overview
The HSLM1L series residual current operated circuit breakers (earth leakage circuit breakers, hereinafter referred to as circuit breakers) feature both non-delayed and delayed tripping characteristics. Developed with advanced microcomputer processors, A/D conversion for data processing and digital circuit technologies, they represent a new generation of circuit breakers that enable reliable graded earth-leakage safety protection for power supply systems.Rated insulation voltage stands at 690 V. Designed for AC 50 Hz circuits with a rated operational voltage of 400 V and rated operational current up to 630 A, the breakers are applied for infrequent circuit switching and infrequent motor starting. Equipped with overload, short-circuit and residual current protection functions, they deliver indirect personal electric shock protection as well as protection against persistent hazards caused by earth faults. An auto-reclosing version is available upon customer request (refer to the dedicated auto-reclosing product datasheet for details).
Classified by rated ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu), this series is designated as Type M (high breaking capacity).
Wiring Note: Reverse wiring is prohibited. Terminals 1, 3 and 5 shall connect to incoming power lines, terminals 2, 4 and 6 to outgoing load lines, with the neutral wire connected to terminal "N".
Applicable Standards
IEC 60947-1 & GB 14048.1 (General Rules); GB 6829
IEC 60947-2 & GB 14048.2 (Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear – Circuit-breakers, Appendix B: Circuit-breakers incorporating residual current protection)
Normal Operating Conditions
1、Installation altitude: 2000 m or below above sea level;
2、Ambient medium temperature ranges from -5 ℃ to +40 ℃, with the average temperature over any 24-hour period not exceeding 35 ℃ (except for special customized orders);
3、Relative ambient air humidity at the installation site shall not exceed 50% at the maximum ambient temperature of +40 ℃. Higher relative humidity is permitted at lower temperatures (e.g., up to 90% at 20 ℃). Special precautions shall be taken against occasional condensation caused by temperature fluctuations;
4、For tropical damp-type circuit breakers, relative air humidity shall not exceed 95% at +25 ℃;
5、Pollution degree: Class 3;
6、Installation category of the main circuit of the circuit breaker: Category III; installation category for auxiliary and control circuits not connected to the main circuit: Category II;
7、Tropical damp-type circuit breakers are resistant to damp heat, salt spray and mould erosion;
8、The circuit breaker shall be installed in locations free from explosion hazards, conductive dust, and substances that corrode metals or damage insulation;
9、Install in areas protected from rain and snow exposure;
10、The circuit breaker shall be installed in accordance with the product operation manual.
Model Designation & Its Definition

Notes:Residual current circuit breakers without an adjustable leakage tripping time knob adopt integrated circuit design and are not equipped with a microprocessor chip.
1.No symbol is assigned for units without residual current alarm module; units fitted with residual current alarm module are marked Ⅰ under Operating Mode 1 and Ⅱ under Operating Mode 2.
2.Residual current release is available in Type U, Type V and Type W (see Table 3 for details).
3.3-pole products carry no designation; 4-pole products are classified into Type A, B, C and D.
Products are categorized into 3-pole and 4-pole versions by pole quantity. Four configurations are defined for the neutral pole (N-pole) of 4-pole products:
Technical Parameters

Notes:
1. Rated ultimate breaking capacity and flashover distance cover both horizontal and vertical mounting configurations.
2. When this 3-pole circuit breaker is connected to a three-phase load, no neutral conductor shall be wired to the load. This also applies to the control circuit power supply tapped from the breaker’s load terminal; otherwise, unwanted tripping of the breaker may occur.
3. For 3-pole breakers used on single-phase loads: connect live wire to Pole A and neutral wire to Pole C (Pole B is prohibited). For 4-pole breakers on single-phase loads: connect live wire to Phase A and neutral wire to the N terminal.
4. Three wiring types are available for breaker installation: front-panel wiring, rear-panel wiring and plug-in wiring.
