Dry-Type Transformer

Overview

The SC(ZB) series 10kV class epoxy resin cast dry-type transformers are mainly used in power transmission and distribution systems as power transmission and distribution equipment. The series features low loss, low noise, low temperature rise, high reliability, as well as environmental protection, flame retardancy, explosion-proof performance, and maintenance-free operation. All performance indicators meet the advanced level of similar domestic products.

It is widely used in high-rise buildings, commercial centers, subways, airports, railway stations, industrial and mining enterprises, drilling platforms, oil production platforms and other places. It can also be combined with switch cabinets to form a packaged substation.

Operating Environmental Conditions

1. Ambient air temperature: Upper limit +40℃, lower limit -30℃.

2. Altitude: ≤ 1000m (Note: If the altitude exceeds 1000m, please specify detailed requirements when placing an order).

3. Wind pressure: Not exceeding 700Pa (equivalent to wind speed of 34m/s).

4. Seismic intensity: Not exceeding Level 8.

5. Pollution class: Class IV.

6. Maximum daily temperature difference: Not exceeding 25℃.

7. Installation site: Free of flammable materials, explosion hazards, chemical corrosion and severe vibration.

8. Installation type: Outdoor / Indoor type.

Structural Features

The low-voltage winding of the epoxy resin cast dry-type transformer adopts a foil-wound structure, made of high-quality imported copper foil. The high-voltage winding has a “tapered” layered structure, formed by vacuum epoxy casting, with low inter-layer voltage and strong overvoltage withstand capability.

The core of the epoxy resin cast dry-type transformer is made of high-quality imported cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheets, processed on an automatic core cutting line with a 45° full-mitre joint structure. The core limbs are bound with a special binding process, and the core surface is coated with a special anti-rust paint, which provides moisture and corrosion resistance while effectively reducing noise.

Class F Insulation High-Voltage Coil

All coils use Class F insulated semi-hard enamelled wire as the conductor. Its expansion coefficient is close to that of copper, providing excellent impact resistance, temperature change resistance, crack resistance, heat dissipation performance, and low temperature rise.
All components of glass fiber and epoxy resin are self-extinguishing, meaning they will not sustain combustion or release toxic gases that pollute the environment. Epoxy resin also has excellent insulating properties, making it particularly suitable for manufacturing high-voltage grade coils.

Class H Insulation High-Voltage Coil

The coil is wound with NOMEX paper-covered flat copper wire, featuring a continuous structure with high mechanical strength and good heat dissipation. It is then impregnated multiple times with a specially formulated Class H insulating varnish using VPI vacuum pressure equipment and baked and cured multiple times.

Low-Voltage Coil

The low-voltage coil is primarily foil-wound, with internal welding performed on the winding machine using argon shielded welding. This results in high precision, low welding resistance, and eliminates external welding processes.

German DMD insulation material is used between winding layers. After winding, the ends are sealed and cured with resin, which not only solves the coil ampere-turn unbalance problem but also effectively improves heat dissipation and enhances the transformer’s short-circuit withstand capability.
