PK Series Microcomputer Protection and Control Panel

Scope of Application

The PK series microcomputer protection and control panel is designed for substations and distribution stations with voltage levels of 35kV and below. It provides intelligent, networked measurement, protection, and control functions for all high-voltage equipment in the station, while communicating in real time with the master station to realize comprehensive automation of the substation/distribution station.

Main functions include:

Various types of protection, measurement, and control for lines

Differential protection, backup protection, measurement, and control for transformers

Various types of protection, measurement, and control for capacitors and motors

Measurement and control functions such as busbar sectionalizing and incoming line automatic switching.



Operating Conditions

1. Altitude: 2000 m and below.

2. Temperature range: -40°C ~ +70°C during storage and transportation; -15°C ~ +40°C during normal operation.

3. Relative humidity: Less than 95% (at 20 ± 5°C).



Main Performance

1. The system adopts a high-speed dual-CPU system working in parallel, delivering powerful functions. All measurement, control, and protection units use the 80C196 chip from Intel, which runs twice as fast as the 8096 and integrates all peripheral circuits, greatly simplifying hardware design. Functions including protection, control, measurement, and communication are reasonably distributed between the two CPUs for parallel processing. This allows automatic task switching in case of a single CPU failure, significantly improving system processing capacity, enhancing operational reliability and safety, and leaving ample margin for user upgrades and expansions to effectively prevent full-load operation.

2. All COMS industrial-grade preferred chips are used, resulting in low power consumption for the entire panel. All integrated circuits in this product adopt industrial-grade CMOS chips, which greatly reduce power consumption, while significantly improving the system noise margin and enhancing anti-interference capability.

3. High-reliability design, resistant to harsh environments, compliant with IEC international standards. The specialized design is suitable for strong magnetic interference, with reliable contact of components and connectors, resistance to shock and vibration, and a wide operating temperature range. Indicators such as insulation, withstand voltage, surge immunity, and high-frequency interference resistance comply with IEC international standards.

4. High-speed and reliable communication network, with all devices on the network not affecting each other. The product uses dedicated RS-485 network communication chips with strong error tolerance and high reliability, along with opto-isolation measures to fully ensure the safety of all devices on the network. Each interface also has a self-test system for quick fault maintenance on the public network. When a communication port fault is detected, it can automatically isolate from the communication bus.
