VS1-12(VEP-12) series enclosing type indoor high voltage vacuum breaker is an embodiment of great progress of vacuum breaker technology. The terminal insulation of vacuum breaker comes through air insulation-composite insulation- enclosing insulation, which forms three generations of vacuum breaker. For the first generation of air insulation, the charged part is totally bared in the air, its insulating level changes according to air humidity, dust and transmission, and can be easily affected by foreign matter like small animals. For the second generation of composite insulation, the arc-distinguishing room is protected in the epoxy resin bushing. But this bushing doesn't cover the high voltage charged part totally, it can also be affected by dust, humidity and insect. For the third generation of enclosing terminal, it uses APG technology and enclose the arc-distinguishing room and terminals up and down by epoxy resin. It not only reduces the arc-distinguishing room size, but also totally avoids the affection from outside(dust, humidity etc.), enhancing the climate withstanding, in such situation, the epoxy resin does not only plays as master insulation but also a mechanical support, its distribution of electric field and stress are both better than other form insulating board structure.
