Hongsu Full Range of SMC Non-Metallic Insulating Housings Upgraded & Mass-Produced, One-Stop Supply for Prefabricated Substations, Cable Branch Boxes and Transformers

Recently, the full-process technological upgrade of the Housing Series insulating housing production line at Hongsu Electric has been completed. New-generation SMC composite enclosures, dry-type transformer protective housings, European & American-style cable branch box shells, and prefabricated substation cabins have entered mass production. This upgrade completes the industrial chain supporting the company’s high and low voltage complete switchgear, delivering an integrated housing solution for ring main units, gas-insulated switchgear, dry-type transformers and XL-21 power cabinets.

All upgraded products are integrally molded with glass fiber reinforced SMC sheet molding compound, delivering multiple performance improvements over traditional metal cabinets: the housings uniformly reach IP65 protection grade with UL94 V0 flame retardancy. The fully insulated structure eliminates eddy current loss. Having passed 1,000-hour neutral salt spray testing and 3,000-hour UV aging testing, they can operate stably under extreme temperatures ranging from -40℃ to +80℃, suitable for harsh working conditions including coastal wind power plants, plateau photovoltaic power stations and urban underground power distribution networks.

The product line covers five major full-specification series: European DFWK cable branch box housings, underground American pad-mounted substation cabins, noise-reducing protective shells for dry-type transformers, outdoor switching station enclosures, and indoor XL-21 insulating power cabinet housings. The modular split structure cuts weight by 35%, greatly improving the efficiency of hoisting and on-site assembly. Standard reserved openings enable seamless matching with the company’s core complete equipment including XGN2, HXGN15 ring main units, solid insulated switchgear and SCB dry-type transformers.

All housings hold complete safety and environmental certifications including CCC, CQC, CE and TÜV Rheinland, complying with GB/T17467 national standard for prefabricated substations and IEC international electrical standards. The upgraded housing series is now available for bulk orders from domestic and overseas projects. Customization of dimensions, openings and colors is supported, enabling one-stop procurement and delivery of high/low voltage complete switchgear plus matching housings.
